The U67’s have been purchased by Eli van Tijn, the founder of Artisound Full Service Music Company established on July 1st, 1956.
For all the recordings that were made at Artisound / Soundwise during its history, the U67’s like the U47’s have always been a constant. Yet, though our U47’s are used considerably less in comparison to former times the U67’s are still in full use. Artists and records they have appeared on are similar to the 47’s.
Service details
All microphones including power supplies have been tested and cleaned every several years by Gonzo Audio in the Netherlands.
From all available repair and service logs I can see that the tubes have been replaced by Philips EF86 in July, 2017. Also, the original power supply has been serviced; neon signal light has been replaced, voltage selection light has been replaced.
